Production description
Vitamin H, more commonly known as biotin, is a water-soluble vitamin produced in the body by certain types of intestinal bacteria and obtained from food. Considered part of the B complex group of vitamins, biotin is necessary for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids (the building blocks of protein). Deficiency may result in hair loss, dry scaly skin, cracking in the corners of the mouth (called cheilitis), swollen and painful tongue that is magenta in color (glossitis), dry eyes, loss of appetite, fatigue, insomnia, and depression.
Function:
1.Biotin(Vitamin H ) is the essential Nutrients of the retina,the Biotin deficiency could cause the Dry eyes, keratization, inflammation, even blindness.
2.Biotin(Vitamin H) can improve the body's immune response and resistance.
3.Biotin(Vitamin H) can maintain normal growth and development.
4.Biotin(Vitamin H) deficiency will cause reproductive functions recession, bad bone growth and the obstruction of embryo and early childhood growth.
5.To help fat, glycogen and the synthesis and metabolism of amino acids in the human body is normal;
6. To promote sweat glands, nerve tissue, bone marrow, the male gonads, the skin and hair of normal operation and the growth, relieve eczema, dermatitis symptoms;
7. To prevent white hair and hair loss, help to cure baldness;
8. To ease muscle pain;
9. Promote the synthesis of urea and excretion, purine synthesis and biosynthesis of oleic acid.
10. For the treatment of atherosclerosis, stroke, lipid metabolism disorders, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease and blood circulation disorder diseases
Application:
1.Hair problems:
Biotin supplements are often recommended as a natural product to counteract the problem of hair loss in both children and adults. The signs and symptoms of biotin deficiency include hair loss which progresses in severity to include loss of eye lashes and eye brows in severely deficient subjects. Some shampoos are available that contain biotin, but it is doubtful whether they would have any useful effect, as biotin is not absorbed well through the skin.
2.Cradle Cap (Seborrheic Dermatitis):
Children with a rare inherited metabolic disorder called phenylketonuria (PKU; in which one is unable to break down the amino acid phenylalanine) often develop skin conditions such as eczema and seborrheic dermatitis in areas of the body other than the scalp. The scaly skin changes that occur in people with PKU may be related to poor ability to use biotin. Increasing dietary biotin has been known to improve seborrheic dermatitis in these cases.
3.Diabetes:
Diabetics may also benefit from biotin supplementation. In both insulin-dependent and non-insulin-dependent diabetes,
supplementation with biotin can improve blood sugar control.

Stability
Biotin is stable under normal atmospheric conditions. This product will retain stability for several months at elevated temperatures as well as in moderately acid and alkaline solutions. Keep away from strong oxidizing agents, strong acids, and alkalis.
Solubility
Soluble in water (22 mg/100 ml), ethanol (80 mg/100 ml), more soluble in hot water and in dilute alkalies; insoluble in other common organic solvents.Soluble in 2 M Ammonium hydroxide (50 mg/ml - clear, colorless solution), dimethylformamide (1.7 mg/ml). 1 ml of a DMF solution can then be added dropwise to 5 ml of PBS, pH 6.8. For cell culture purposes, either HCl or NaOH may be used to titrate biotin into solution. Moderately acid and neutral solutions are stable for several months; alkaline solutions are less stable, but appear reasonably stable up to a pH of about 9; aqueous solutions are very susceptible to mold growth; acid solutions can be heat sterilized.
